Open Day at Bronte House
After discussion with the principal of Bronte Primary School, Pam Crawley, the very beautiful sandstone historic Bronte House with its amazing gardens and views of Bronte Beach was chosen as the icon. Whole staff met and discussed the idea of planning curriculum activities around this heritage treasure. Libby ran her poetry workshops on a pupil free day; and Pat ran two art workshops after school. A visiting date for the whole school was planned and students and teachers wandered through the grounds of Bronte House, thanks to the generosity of the current residents, writing poetry, sketching and discussing the history of the house.
On 21st September and Open Day at Bronte House as culmination, comprises the 100Views Festival , where students work will be displayed in the wonderful grounds for parents and community members to enjoy.
